With a recorded CPI of 5.9%, Canada’s inflation is out of control. The price of fuel and food has increased to the point of making life unaffordable to the multitude of people. The economy controls the flow of industry and the supply of goods to the average person. What is most important is who really has control over inflation. The Prime Minister is the one person who sits at the control for our inflation while the banks control the supply of cash and currency Justin Trudeau has control over the number of dollars that are in circulation in our country. The program the Liberal Government created to help us through the pandemic primed the pump for the level of inflation we are experiencing today. Did Justin Trudeau understand the brand corporate greed that would be released on the Canadian People when the Pandemic ended? Prices have soared and the level of taxes has increased. Trudeau and Poilievre are talking about Carbon Taxing but when the cost of food increases the Government Sales Tax has been allowed to soar. The doors have been open to a new level of corporate greed and the CEOs of the largest corporations are taking advantage of it. The wealth gap in Canada is increasing at an alarming rate. The CEO’s of the companies are taking home millions of dollars while the people who work for them are struggling just to make a few hundred dollars a week. With cheap wages and the struggle to get enough hours to pay bills the working class, people are under the squeezer. A government that has been at the control of the economy has allowed the people who work the hardest to suffer. They have also allowed the wealthiest of people to live beyond privilege.
We are being told that the Global Inflation rate has risen and so the inflation in Canada should follow suit the CEOs have told us that they have to be able to compete against US Companies you also operate in the Canadian Retail Markets but is all the really true when a business like Loblaws make over 1 million dollars in profit a day. Jagmeet Singh Leader of the NDP party questioned this “How much profit is too much?” How is to much is the question that Canada Consumers want to know. When the people e who work hard and provide the services we see every day get more than just the crumbs. When we consider that part of the problem is that the Government holds the ability to fix some of the problems that are causing inflations by limiting the number of new programs and focusing those same programs on things like preventative healthcare we might have seen a very different and affordable economy in Canada. Pierre Poilievre is on the parliament floor chanting “triple triple on the taxes.” Who in Government is really representing the people of Canada?
What I see outside my office has written this article is more people finding themselves homeless, and children going to school hungry because their parents decided that maybe it was better to rent and buy less food for the family. Working-class people need to see a change so that the squeezer eases off.
