Mental Health is a hot button topic in our Western Society. We think that counselling for emotional difficulties is seen as a weakness. We would rather bury our feeling than deal with them. Happiness is seen as an outside source instead of getting help with a way to look inside our own psyches to find a happy place. Self-help and self-care are still seen as woo-woo when they can be a mainstay. Strong mental health can lead to tools would need to not only be healthy-minded but also open-minded to what is going on in our community.
Mental Health has become a huge industry and we need to know how to find the fit to help us grow into self and psyche. We need to grow past our fears of being the successful individuals we need to be. We don’t have to just simply settle for what we see on scene and for the example of a good life that is provided by those sources. We can move beyond that with the best help in our corner.
Listen to my conversation with Wayne Pratt
I have been speaking for nearly 20 years now, and several years ago I became a Certified Life Coach. More recently, in May of 2020, after years of study, I became a Jack Canfield Certified Life Coach.
I have addressed audiences as diverse as Credit Unions, school children, small business people, even Mental Heath care professionals, and Sunday School Teachers. Universally, they wanted to laugh and learn something.
Whether it is working on how the changes in the economy might help instead of hinder you, or if you are feeling the brochure (life) promised you more, the people I have coached and spoken to assure me that I left them better than I found them.
I live in Kingston with my loving wife, Elizabeth, raised my amazing daughter Bethany, play with computers, argue Theology, and champion causes which make life better for the mentally ill.
