Every time I contact someone about doing an interview I ask ” Please send me 10 question that you want people to know the answer to.” I usually get this response ” Why do you want me to supply the questions. I am going to answer this question in this blog post.
The question you supply offer a direction for the conversation we will have during the interview. The conversation sets the agenda. The more direction the interview the easier it can be used to promote your business and set you apart as the go-to expert. My goal is to make you an expert and to make you entertaining. When you are comfortable all those things start to happen. People start to fill confident in you and trust is what makes sales for your business. Helping you grow your business is the goal of Depiction’s Media and our programming (ok yes and to be entertaining).
Here is the trick. Find about 10 question that will set your process apart from this rest of your industry and collaborators. Make those question those tough ones the questions that people need to know but they are too afraid to ask and face the answer. Send us the questions that people may not even know they need to know they need the answer. You are trying to provide solutions to questions that people did not even realize there was an answer. Here is a list of question from published author Karen Magill and Debt Reduction Coach. (you can download her ebook here also)
-how did you come to this coaching niche – debt reduction?
-how is your coaching program different from others?
-what can a client expect when signing with you for coaching services?
-what experience do you have with debt and debt reduction?
-have you always been in the financial field?
-Is there anything special going on with your program?
With these questions, we design a conversation. It is the conversation that makes the interview entertaining and keeps people listening. Don’t worry when we interview you won’t have to worry about the entertaining part are broadcasters do that for you.
Ok no, I have not talked about the book part but the formula is very simple. The questions become the table of content for your book and you will write the answers to the questions to fill in the rest of the book. The beauty part of the process is people get to know and trust you. Your business becomes a Comunity Partner making you a local success.
