Joe Biden and his administration have come under fire about how FEMA has been responding to disasters. Maui has been hurt by the wildfire that engulfed part of the island. Maui and the Hawian Governer have been very active on social raising awareness that the fire is over and tourism can resume. The fact is that what is needed is not just FEMA to deliver money from Washington but they need the businesses that were not harmed to get back to normal. Recovery is not just about the government fixing things but it is about the team effort of the community. Citizens need to be allowed to access the damaged area so they can tell FEMA what is really needed to get back on their feet. The Hawian Government what to help businesses that were not harmed to receive tourists and to fill the hotels that have space available to allow tourism.
