Iran and Israel had been engaged in  years-long shadow war, attacking each other’s assets without taking responsibility. Those attacks had ratcheted up considerably during the war in Gaza, sparked by the Palestinian group Hamas’s assault on a nearby Israeli community. In October of 2023, we remember this. The two countries were allied until 1979, with the Islamic Revolution in Iran bringing in a regime that opposing the existence of  Israel as a key Part of its ideology. Iran did not recognise Israel’s right to exist and seeks its eradication. The country’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khomeini, has called Israel a cancerous tumour that will undoubtedly be uprooted and destroyed. Israel believes that Iran poses a central threat to threat as as evidenced by Tehran’s rhetoric, which builds up proxy forces in regions including the Lebanese Shia militant group, Hezbollah, that are sworn to Israel’s destruction. Israel accuses Iran of secretly trying to develop nuclear weapons. You’re going to hear some statements from Danny Danon, the ambassador to the United Nations, go through much of the same rhetoric. In1979 a revolution that overthrew the Shah of Iran and put the Ayatollah Khomeini into power, as well as creating it to be a very strict Islamic State, which we all again we’re going to we’ve heard over and over again how the Islamic State is suppressing women’s rights and suppressing many things to deal with, with human rights under the Islamic rule, because they believe in covering, covering the Women in long garbs and head coverings so that all of their hair and everything is covered. Western rhetoric suggests that the idea of covering should be completely eradicated as part of human rights for women, but it is arguably that it should be a matter of choice. If a woman chooses to cover herself like that, then she should be allowed so that she can honour God the way that she thinks that she should be honouring God, and men forcing women to cover because they can’t control their urges. And we’ve heard, heard over and over again, arguments about women or jewels, their flowers, and they should be protected, and that’s the reason for their covering. That’s kind of the sort of record that should probably be tossed away. Okay, so back to why it is that we’re seeing attacks now between Iran and Israel. So why did Israel attack Iran? Well, Israel vowed to hit back after Iran carried out the ballistic missile attack on October 1. In that attack, Israel fired, or Iran fired, more than 180 missiles at Israel, mostly intercepted by Israel’s air defences led by US allied forces. Some hit the air bases and other sites. One Palestinian was killed by a falling piece of missile casing. Israel said it would retaliate, but not say when or how. Therefore, the constant speculation since the time of the attack on Israel, what we’ve been waiting for for the retaliation, and that’s that retaliation caused a barrage of things to happen back and forth. Okay, so coming up to to present date, Donald Trump entered the United States into the conflict, and Donald Trump is taking credit for bringing a ceasefire to the region again between Iran and Israel. Israel claims they have control of the Iranian airspace. Most of that would be due to help from United States aircraft. This ceasefire also did come and did have a rocky start with strikes on guitar near us, air bases and also one missile striking that killed several Israeli people, and all seems to be quiet now. Well, we’re going to hear some of the back and forth that Israel and Iran have to say, say about each other. And if you continue forward into the next episode is going to be coming up, you’re going to hear from the UN Security Council as closing arguments, where both Iran and Israel claim that the other is, is the aggressor. One Israel is trying to limit the progress of the Iranian people, and Israel is claiming that Iran and its people are only trying to produce weapons of mass destruction, nuclear weapons, to be exact, because they have so much enriched uranium stored in their country. So Iran is, or should I say, Israel is also claiming that they, as well as Donald Trump, were saying that multiple hits to their nuclear power program have halted their ability to build weapons. Let’s look through history. If we go back to World War Two. That was when the first nuclear, mass, destructive nuclear weapon was launched. It fell from a US airplane on Japan. Matter of fact, it wasn’t just one. There were three of these weapons dropped from US aircraft in the Pacific, one near and two directly on Japan. So it would seem that the only country that has used nuclear power as a weapon of mass destruction is the United States, which screams the loudest that no one else should have that power. There are a lot of problems that need to be worked out in our world, but we can actually set aside these problems, set aside the idea of hatred and put aside the need for war. One of those, of course, is oil. The second is money, because what Iran does have an abundance of oil, when the things the Iran does are very limited participation in, and due to sanctions. Is though they were world’s central bank. So a lot of oil and a lot of cash sitting around that the rest of the world would want access to, including, hey, some of the world’s biggest billionaires. They will want to tap those cash coffers. They want to get at those oil supplies. One of the reasons why Israel is always such a or Iran is a target, and why the US always seems to get involved when there’s a conflict between Iran and Israe
